After coming to Ely as an Eagle Scout in the early 80’s for his first canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Bob couldn’t resist the desire to make this wilderness his home.
Bob has 25 years guide experience. He started guiding canoe trips for Sommer’s Canoe Base and later guided day trips and canoe trips for area resorts.
Bob started his own business known as BASSWOOD BOB’S NORTH COUNTRY GUIDE SERVICE. Bob's goal is to help you make this your finest vacation ever.
