Basswood Bob's North Country Guide Service offers open water fishing in the spring, summer and fall. During the winter months (December thru April) we offer dog sledding, ice fishing and winter camping.

We are located north of Ely, Minnesota out the Fernberg Trail, next to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and within the Superior National Forest. The BWCAW is the crown jewel of the Superior National Forest, over 1 million acres in size with over 1,000 lakes. Mechanized travel is prohibited in the BWCAW except on a few designated lakes. No mechanized travel is allowed during the winter. This makes the BWCAW the perfect place for a wilderness dog sledding adventure.
